New video from the Houston Police Department shows the moments before three men were arrested for stealing a Mustang at gunpoint and leading officers on a chase.

It happened on April 10, a little after 11:45 p.m., when HPD says it was responding to reports of a robbery where three young men stole a black Mustang from a man.

Officers immediately began searching the East End area for the vehicle.

Shortly after police found the car on Lyons Avenue, they tried to pull the driver over, only for the driver to speed off, but not before one of the officers fired several shots at the car as it fled.

After a short chase, police caught up to the three young men in the stolen Mustang. The driver was identified by HPD as Ronny Leonardo Hernandez, 18, and two others in the vehicle, Gutierrez Bonilla, 19, and Victor Jesus Rauda Lopez, 20, were also taken into custody without incident or injuries reported.

During the investigation, authorities said they found a stolen gun inside the Mustang, and an AR-style rifle was recovered after being thrown from the car as the chase continued on Wayside.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not released the identities of the suspects involved in the incident.
